the date today is Friday January 8th 2010 and iam in Fontana Wisconsin at Saint Benedicts Catholic Church i got here lastnight this area has what is called an emergency shelter and is open during the winter and is sponsored by different christian organizations each week and the christian people cook meals for the people and there are no political demands put on the people there or no mandatory church service requirements they even give the people there free cellular-telephones with 300 minuts pre-paid time so the people can make an attempt to find work the place is open from the end of September until the end of May its a brisk morning in the state of Wisconsin i think i wi9ll head over to the Mississippi River and follow it up for awhile as this final winter of this journey is here and this journey ends April 26th 2010 the last couple rideing days have been nasty about 10 inches of snow has fallen makeing the ride stressful slippery and at times dangerous the Mississippi River is next
