the lost soldier the ultimate price to pay

the date today is thursday september 25th 2008 and iam in lancaster pennsylvania on 23 west at saint leo the great catholic church this morning i stopped at the episcopal church downtown and they were feeding breakfast to people so i ate i stopped at a bar lastnight and talked with people about my journeys and one man admitted he was jealous of my freedoms when in lancaster i talked with an amissh lady and here is what i was told the amish people do pay income and property taxes they dont pay social security the women always wear blue dresses with bonnets on their heads the men black pants and vests the color of shirts optional the married men wear beards she also told me at 18 the children are given a 2 year grace peroid to go out into society and check the country out if after the 2 years they choose not to come home they never can return the amish were friendly but hard to get to talk to i found out one thing i did not agree with the amish do not own phones and do not drive but they will take rides from people and barrow phones a catholic priest gave me 80 dollars gor the night to get a room lancaster has been real difficult to get thru the episcopal people fed about 30 people this morning it was kind of crazy as i talked with some of the people i wondered how someone could get caught up in being trapped in the cycle of going to missions soup kitchens and crack-coxaine and as good as the episcopalina people are i still dont think that keeping them trapped there by feeding and houseing them there does any good at all thats the area where the women jump in and out of cars and where the vrack is sold i was also told by the amish the children only go to school until the 8th grade so the teachers only have 8th grade educations so i figure the amish live very secluded lives the majority have no electricity and none have televisions so they cant get caught in societys head games friday september 26th 2008 its a rainny overcast morning i made my way to 203 west in a town called landisville i was able to come up with 160 dolllars in 2 days in the lancaster area the catholic people willing to helpfrom the direction iam headed ohio and michigan are next as i head into the last winter of this journe iam now at the holiday inn 147 merts drive elizabethtown pennsylvania it rainned like hell lastnight i just pitched the tent behind a baptist and waited it out shanksville pennsylvania and the 9-11-01 crashsite are next
