the lost soldier the ultimate price to pay

monday august 18th 2008 iam in a little area called metcalf botttoms its beautiful and peaceful up here the climb has been easy but again no shoulder on the road its kind of relaxing you can hear nature talking the birds and peaceful flow of the river i took a picture of the sign going into the great smokey mountains national forest iam going to start a photo collection this final year of my journeys well after talking to the forest rangers i missed my turn so i guess i go to townsend and work my way into north carolina and the blueridge mountains iam about 22 miles from townsend tennessee and its beautiful and peaceful up here anyway tuesday august 19th 2008 iam at the american classic suites in marysville tennessee a pastyor put me in here tonight somehow i managed to get all turned around so from here i go back to 129 south and work my way into north carolina and over to the blueridge parkway the church that put me in the motel was the marysville outreach christian center the people in this area are totally different from the people in gatlinburg or pigeon forge those towns are tourist traps its a beautiful and peaceful morning this morning well heres intellegence at its best i have to go all the way back to gatlinburg to catch 441 south into cherokee iam now back in gatlanburg at the best western the ride back was a pain in the next i hate back tracking but on the way back something pretty cool happened while rideing back i saw a forest ranger and a bunch of cars along side the road i stopped and there was a black bear out in the forest eatting its the second bear ive seen the last one in michigan 441 is here and iam only about 30 miles from cherokee i cant believe i went that far out of the way but it was a pretty cool ride thru the smokey mountain national forest the streams and cliffs were cool but the road is dangerous for bicycles real narrow and alot of curves adios tennessee iam out of here tonight i had a pretty cool time
