the date today is jan 9th 2007 and iam in a town called black earth wisconsin today i talked with the newspaper editor with the news-sickle-arrow john donaldson in black earth wisconsin he ran a newspaper interview that will comw out in next weeks paper its a weekly paper he e-mailed carolyn maupin the photograph of me holding a picture of matt last night something crazy happened i stopped in a bar called the main street lanes in cross plains wisconsin i was drinking a pitcher of beer when a man came up to me and asked are you benjamin best i stated i was he responded i have been tracking your journeys along time and have been looking for you he asked if i still needed a tent i explainned i did he brought me a real cool dome tent very kind of him i met some people at the bar a man and his girlfriend they took me to their home smoked a few bowls and drank some whiskey this will be the first newspaper interview sent to carolyn since the state of new york the man also asked me about my dislike for madison for some reason i just didnt like it but the people in wisconsin have been friendly its a beautiful day today in the state of wisconsin the mississippi river and minnesota are next i hope this interview brings a smile to carolyn maupins face
