The Lost Soldier

the date is saturday july 18th 2009 iam att Saint James Catholic Church in Riverton Illinois i havent done much so far but ride old hwy 36 is not a bicycle friendly road no shoulder and heavy semi-truck traffic i stopped at the seventh-day adventist church they fed me and gave me 10,00 to go on but it was a stressful ride with all the traffic coming up behind me check this garbage out i went to mass at Saint James went downstairs to use the restroom came back up and taalked to the priest he told me to meet him at subway as soon as i arrived in pulled the police the excuse he used for calling the police was todays society he said he wasnt the one who called the police it was one of the parishoners it is now sunday july 19th 2009 iam in a little park in Mechanicsburgh Illinois its a beautiful morning and a peaceful and relaxing little park lastnight i went to a bar and talked to some people about my journeys and got a few signatures on this jacket iam tajeing back to Carolyn Maupin i made the ride into Illipololis iam at the United Methodist Church 501 east matilda iam going to talk to the pastor and try to pull some money for the day its kind of funny the looks i get from people in these small towns as i go thru on a bicycle with my back-pack they seem to be very distrusting of people they dont know its kind of funny the looks i get well i talked to the pastor and he gave me 20,00 to go on and hiis reply to my question as to why these people acted so strange was small town it is now monday july 20th 2009 iam in Decatur Illinois lastnight i did way to much partying got some signatures on the jacket its a beautiful morning in the state of Illinois and all-in-all the people in Illinois have been friendly i stopped at Trenity Church of the Nazarene they were haveing a picnic they fed me and gave me 40 dollars for the road the pastor was dan taylor 217-434-1970 iam starting to get shaggy its now tuesday july 21st and iam at the Baymont Inns and sweets lastnight i stopped at a bar about 30 miles back and partied a bit i was talking with some about my journeys they signed the jacket lastnight i just rolled my sleeping bag up and went to sleep got up this morning and started and 2 of the women i had met lastnight drove by me reconigized me and came back and we talked a bit hwy 36 is still a stressful ride very little shoulder and semi-truc traffic
