the date is Sunday July 26rg 2998 iam at riley united methodist church lastnight i stopped at the american legion the commander gave me 100.00 after giving me the money he left during a conversation with a man at the legion i explainned the commander had ggiven me the money and he was furious stateing he gave you our money i asked him if he was a vet he stated he had been famalied in today in church the methodist pastor explainned to his congregation my journeys and they gave me some money and one of the parishoners took me home fed me let me shower and gave me another tent iam now in bowling green on highway 46 east sitting across from the bowling alley its another hilly and stressful ride a hilly and no shoulder all day other then the one vonversation at the legion the people in indiana have been friendlyhighway 46 is not a good bicycle road only about a foot shoulder i also managed to come up with another sleeping bag monday july 27th 2009 i made the ride into spencer indiana its been another stressful ride long rolling hills windy road and no shoulder and heavy seim-dump truck traffic i made the ride into bloomington iam going to stop at a bar called kilroys on kirkwood and then get out of here i was talking with a baptist pastor today about my journeys his father was a vietnam vet he gave me 30 dollare to go and he fdidnt feel these college kids would be very receptive of my journeys iam just sitting here checking out these ubiversity of indiana women as they strut around in shorts its kind of funny as i sit on this patio with my bicycle back-pack drinking beer these college kids are looking atr me like who the hell is this the date is now tuesday july 28th lastnight i just rolled my sleeping bag our when i woke up i relized i had slept right on the university of indiana campus and didnt get hassled once thats security for you from here its 446 south to 50 east
