the lost soldier the ultimate price to pay

sunday april 19th 2009 iam at the sunrise mission 822 west chisholm street alpena michigan this morning i stopped at the ossineke united methodist church and talked with a minister named steve about figureing out how to continue my journeys and also trying to see if pastor savage was gonna re-do my licence i explainned i needed to stop a few days and find work before going into the upper-pennsula he wrote his name and phone number down 898-474-2334 and told me it was a cell phone he told me to go to the sunrise rescue mission for the night to call him when i got there and he would help me figure something out i made the call and it was the church office phone i left a message and eventually he called back and said he would help me get some rain gear thats the last i heard from him and the last phone call he answered i then talked with a lutheran misister who gave me the name and number of a Mr, Dave Meyer whom the pastor said would help me get rain gear 989-474-2334 i talked to him and all he wanted to do was dump me off on ST. Vincent De Paul of the catholic church the 36 hours or so i spent at the shelter gave me the oppertunity to accomplish 2 things first talk to the people staying there and get an honest opinion of how it was ran and second piss off the people who ran it , as i gainned truthful opinions of how it was ran from the people who stayed there and here is what i found out its similar to the running of a prison halfway house from around 7 in the morning until 4 p.m. the men must leave they can come back for lunch and then must leave until i think 5 p.m. if its rainning or cold the call it an inday and they dont have to leave the date is now wednesday april 22nd 2009 i made the ride into rogers ciry iam about 65 miles from the bridge and the upper-pennsula of michigan its a brisk day and was a windy and chilly ride today i stopped in a restaurant today and was talking with the people about my journeys the fed me lunch and prepared a sack lunch for me to take i need to work on geting the bicycle tuned up before i get to deep in the upper pennsula it looks like i will head towards sault ste marie michigan and get up around lake superior follow that into wisconsin and then minnesota everyone in this area feels its worth going up to lake superior and all-in-all the people in michigan have been friendly
