The Lost Soldier The Ultimate Price To Pay

the date is sunday march 7th 2010 its kind of a nasty freezin rainny morning iam in Clarence Iowa there is a bar called Bo-Jacks iam going to go in and check it out well i spent a few hours in the bar just checking things out with my bicycle and back-pack out front had a mixed reaction from the people one man bought me a couple shots of liquor another a pitcher of beer but again during conversations in the bar ran into to someone whom seemed to know alot about my journeys and seemed to be offended as to the fact ive ridden this bicycle right at the finishing point of 5 years and have had so much support from the American people its been a stressful ride today a road with no shoulders and trucks flying by its now monday march 8th 2010 lastnight i found a 24 hour laundry-mat about a block from the bar and went to sleep got up this morning and went into a caseys convience store i asked if there was a pastor around i needed to get some stuff washed she told me where a church was a few blocks down the road when i got there i should of known better then to go and talk with the pastor it was a Church of Christ i went to the pastors house across the street he said meet him at the church as soon as he arrived he stated you sure spent alot of money in the bar lastnight i told him i had only spent 10.00 the rest was bought for me then it hit me how did he know i was even there unless he was there himself i made the ride into De Witt the Methodist pastor from calvary united church put me in the super 8 motel for the night i neeeded the rest tuesday march 9th i made the ride into Davenport Iowa i had a little freezin rain to ride in and again a road with no shoulders iam at the Best Western SteepleGate Inn 100 west 78th street Davenport Iowa the Episcopal Cathedreal is here i have an appointment with a priest at 4;15 i will most likely go into illinois and start cutting south towards the Missouri Kentucky Arkansas area as i make my way towards Cincinniii . Wisconsin Minnesota North Dakota and Iowa were a pain in the neck and all-in-all not very friendly iam going to finish my journeys in the southern United States its been a stressful last few months dealing with theses States adios Iowa iam gone
