the lost soldier
iam still in blue springs missouri its a snowy day this morning thursday march 7th 2008 its time to leave the kansas city area its not been a very friendly area all i have listened to people talk about has been politics the war and how bad this country is . the katy trail is my next destination as i head towards the state of illinois . i will try and get matts picture ran in a newspaper in the state of missouri blue springs has one i may stop and see if they will run one hopefully it will be a peaceful ride along the katy-trail kansas city has been a pain in the neck i came along way out of my way to meet phatlander and it turned out to be a total waste of time i thought he had more respectfor carolyn maupin then he showed i will never again meet anyone associated with dirt-rag mountain bicycle magazine ever again

Well there you have it. I gave you a map and fueled you up for your journey only to be criticized for it. You were on your way (Lone Jack; 40mi) east toward the Katy Trail then you turned around and headed back to KC to get on I70? Now you are in Blue Springs which is norther and wester than the direction you need to be heading. Ben, you told me you don't read these comments and that's fine, but know I would help you again despite any perceived ungratefulness portrayed by you. I'm only guessing you'll think the Katy Trail sucks because it lacks taverns. I just thought it'd be nice if you got to avoid traffic for a couple hundred miles.
