the lost soldier

the date today is jan 28th 2008 and iam in wahpeton north dakota at the super 8 motel the catho;ic priest at st. johns catholic church put me here for the night tomorrow its supose to get down to around 30 below zero i think iam going to cross back over to the minnesota side and ride down into the state of south dakota its been a rough ride thru north dakota not as friendly as i hoped it would be this town has a newspaper i think its a daily one its supose to be snowy and cold as hell tomorrow hopefully it will help me get a newspaper done the people here have been a little cold hearted to ny journeys but i talked to a man today who was aware of matt i guess carolyn maupin had done some type of interview with a new york newspaper and i guess he had read it i went to some catholic or actually church run shelter today in moorhead north dakota someone had donated a brand new 2 piece areic winter survival suit brand new they let me take it but here is what happened a pastor told me i could stay there for the night found out the place was full but they let me wash clothes i think it was called the saint anthony house there were alot of politics involved in staying there it was a tough ride here about 45 miles of nothing but open prairie iam going to cut down into south dakota and then maybe nebraska and then to the black hills and mount rushmore its been a hard ride thru the states of wisconsin minnesota and north dakota hopefully proples attitudes about my journeys will change in south dakota
